Before you start

Have your assigned @homerunnetwork.com email address and mailbox password ready. Check that you can sign in at webmail.migadu.com.

Use your own email, not the example in the video. Keep your password private.

Follow along

  1. Add an account. Open Settings → Apps → Mail → Mail Accounts → Add Account. On older iPhones: Settings → Mail → Accounts → Add Account.
  2. Choose Other. Migadu hosts our email, and it is not one of Apple’s listed providers. Do not choose Google or Outlook. On some versions, the option is called Add Other Account. If your iPhone asks for your email first, enter your work address and tap Next.
  3. Tap Add Mail Account. Some versions simply call it Mail Account.
  4. Enter your details. Name: your name. Email: your full work email address. Password: your mailbox password. Description: HRN. Tap Next.
  5. Select IMAP and fill in Incoming Mail Server.
    Host Name
    imap.migadu.com
    User Name
    Your full work email address
    Password
    Your mailbox password
  6. Scroll down to Outgoing Mail Server.
    Host Name
    smtp.migadu.com
    User Name
The same full work email address
    Password
    The same mailbox password

Fill in every field—even those labeled Optional. The outgoing login is required to send mail.

  7. Save Mail only. Tap Next and wait for verification. Leave Mail on and turn Notes off. If any other switches appear, leave only Mail enabled. Tap Save.
  8. Open Mail and test. Choose Mailboxes → HRN. Send a test message from your HRN address and get a reply.

If setup needs a second look

Receiving works but sending fails? Check the outgoing server’s username and password first.

Apple Mail normally detects ports and security. If manual settings are needed: IMAP 993 with SSL/TLS; SMTP 465 with SSL/TLS; password authentication for both. Do not disable encryption or accept an unexpected certificate warning. Ask your team administrator if verification still fails.

If webmail rejects the password too, ask your team administrator to verify or reset your mailbox password.
